oKo (Overleg Kunstenorganisaties), representing the professional arts organisations in Brussels and Flanders has been active to help refugees coping with the new circumstances and social environment. Their members – well known theatres and venues in the Flemish part of Belgium – have already launched workshops and activities involving refugees and their children, with the aim to integrate them faster into the host society; the understanding of the other’s culture leads definitely to a more diverse and concrete society.
