Cultural heritage has its share in Europe’s sustainable development and economy. Around 7.7 million people are employed each year directly or indirectly in the Cultural Heritage sector. The figures are impressive as well when it comes to revenue. Take this example from the NEMO study where among others a research in Berlin showed that ‘the external heritage effect embedded in property values in Berlin amounts to as much as 1.4 billion euros’.
